After setting up Scrivener last night and starting with character sketches and initial research, I obviously had a lot of ideas floating around in my head when I went to bed. I slept restlessly, and kept waking to think about the book.
It was quite productive – I solidified several characters, came up with solutions to plot thread ideas that I’d struggled with during the day, and at one point realised that the addition of a new character, a villian in disguise, would solve quite a few of the issues that I’d been trying to work out. It was brilliant, and so obvious.
Can I remember anything this morning? No. It’s all gone.
