Stock Images: Ideas?

As and when I have the time (which isn’t as often as I’d like, unfortunately!) I’ve been working on 3D/CGI art for stock images. I use them myself in covers and art, and I have a small portfolio of stock images on Depositphotos. These are mainly for poses and costumes only, as it can be very difficult to find any type of action pose on stock sites, and genre-specific costumes…

It’s All Gone Wrong

Well, hopefully not totally, but I did manage to jump the gun a bit on designing a new site. So we’re going live with no proper template, rather like finding oneself in class with neither pants nor the required homework. :) Check back tomorrow for a less pants-free experience.

Mad Summer

I came back from Prague to face the busiest two months that I think I’ve ever had. My fault, entirely…sometimes I really suck at scheduling and schedule way, waaaay too much. But I’m almost at the end. :) I’ll write another post about Prague, which was extremely romantic and gorgeous with wonderful people and stunning buildings. The food was heaven. We walked for hours and hours, finding something new around…

Final Fantasy XIV for New or Returning Players

I’ve spent some time working on a FFXIV guide for beginner players or returning players, which is located here: Getting Started in FFXIV. You all know I love the game, but there is a lot to it which can be confusing or daunting to players who haven’t tried the game – there is depth and complexity to the game, which I love, but there is a reason all of the…

Updates: 3D Work

I’ve been playing with 3D work for some time now – not creating my own models from scratch (yet!), but instead working with models and environments in Daz Studio. It’s coming along, and I’m having a lot of fun although I don’t get enough time to devote to it. The main reason why I started working in 3D was to add some life and action to models for book cover…

Aphrodite’s Closet by Suzy Turner

Note: I don’t do this very often, but Suzy is a wonderful and kind person as well as a very good author. :) Agatha Trout didn’t even know she had a Great Aunt Petunia, so imagine her surprise when she finds Petunia left her a corner shop in her will. But it’s not just any old corner shop – it’s a corner shop that needs something unique, something the town…

Preparing for Stormblood

Between workload and some of the recent singleplayer/multiplayer games that I’ve been playing, I’ve fallen out of touch a bit with FFXIV – and that’s a shame. My Summoner is level 60, but hasn’t finished the main story quests and instances, and my Bard (recently transferred to the States in hopes of a bit of RP action) is only 50. I’ve been trying to get back into the swing of…
