I am an American who has escaped to lived in the UK for quite a few years now. I spent a long time working as a web developer and project manager, mainly for ecommerce sites, but roughly ten years ago I went freelance with my art.
I’ve done a lot of things in the past: waitress, legal secretary, vet tech, import buyer of music gear and instruments, etc. My worst job was the two weeks I spent working in a retirement home for the elderly – not a good one, unfortunately, and it made me swear that I would never get old. I seem to have done it anyway, so I suppose the joke is on me.
Aside from my love of book cover art, I am also a voracious reader, a gamer (mainly MMOs) and a kdrama addict and kpop fan. If you know what a Stay is we can be besties.
I work mainly in Photoshop on a Wacom tablet. I used to paint watercolours but haven’t in a very long time. I am also the queen of unfinished projects: novels, webtoons, a visual novel.
My husband and I live in Staffordshire with a varying number of cats.
